Public meeting points

First meets in public. Always.

Whether it's a casting test, a wardrobe fitting, or a first chemistry meeting — the first time you meet someone in person, do it in a public place. Cafés, lobbies of shared studios, hotels with security, and well-lit malls all work. Avoid private homes and isolated locations until you have shot with the team at least once and trust is established.

What to look for

First meeting requested at a private apartment
Late-night studio session with no second person mentioned
Address that turns out to be a residential block, not a studio
No published address or studio name — 'I'll send the location later'
The 'studio' is reachable only through poorly-lit streets

What to do

Ask for the studio name + a Google Maps link in advance.
Verify the studio exists and has a public phone number.
Bring a friend, agent, or fellow creator to the first meeting.
Tell someone you trust the venue, the people, and the call sheet.
Share your live location with that person during the meeting.
