Acceptable Use Policy

Shoot is a creative marketplace + community for Nigeria. We host photographers, videographers, MUAs, models, stylists, directors, and the brands and clients who hire them. The rules below keep the platform usable for everyone — they apply to messages, briefs, profiles, portfolio uploads, comments, lists, and every other surface where you produce content here.

Hard rules — break these and you're banned

  • No sex work, escort services, sugar / GFE / compensated dating, or any framing of paid sexual companionship. Family-safe / portfolio-professional by default.
  • No explicit sexual or pornographic content in portfolios, messages, or anywhere else. Tasteful editorial nudity is allowed only on identity-verified accounts using the explicit 18+ artistic tag — anything else is rejected.
  • No content involving minors in adult or sexualized contexts. Any minor-involving brief routes through manual moderation before broadcasting.
  • No scams. Advance-fee patterns, fake casting calls, payment-via-Western-Union / cash app / crypto, identity fraud, and impersonation are bannable on first detection.
  • No hate speech, ethnic / tribal / religious slurs, or content that targets people for their identity. Auto-detected; ops-curated.
  • No threats, harassment, doxxing, stalking, or coordinated abuse.

Off-platform commerce — kept off the main flow

  • Don't post phone numbers, WhatsApp / Telegram links, IG selling-handles, or external storefront links in messages, briefs, profile bios, comments, or list descriptions.
  • Don't peddle unrelated goods or services (clothes, food, electronics, MLM recruiting, crypto / forex schemes) on the main flow.
  • Phase 5 introduces a clearly-labelled paid Side Hustle lane for verified creators who legitimately want to promote a side business. Use that — never the main flow.
  • Booking conversations are an exception: once both parties are inside an active funded booking, you can exchange contact details to coordinate the shoot.

Reviews + Feedback are bound to real interactions

  • Verified ★ reviews can only be left after a completed escrow booking. Both parties get the same right.
  • Informal Feedback for off-escrow interactions is capped at 1 per pair per 30 days, requires identity verification, and is visibly marked unverified.
  • Manipulating reviews (paying for them, retaliating with negative reviews, mass-reporting to bury them) is bannable.

What happens when something is reported

  • Anyone can report any image, project, profile, message, comment, or list. Anonymous reports are allowed.
  • Trusted reporters (high confirm rate) get priority queue.
  • Reports are reviewed by ops within 24h for the open queue. Resolutions: warn / suspend / ban / content removed / dismiss.
  • Pattern intelligence runs continuously — confirmed scam patterns auto-flag matching content the next time it appears.

Your data + your account

  • We collect what you give us (profile, portfolio, brief notes), what we observe (logins, IP hash, device fingerprint for fraud prevention), and what you produce here (reviews, credits, comments).
  • Identity verification is optional but unlocks the verified badge + 18+ artistic posting + higher trust tiers. NIN/BVN/CAC documents go to an encrypted vault, not the main DB.
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time. Banned accounts are flagged at the device-fingerprint level so the same person can't simply make a new account.
