What to do after a bad shoot

You have rights. Document everything and report.

If a shoot went wrong — unsafe behavior, withheld payment, harassment, exposure to content you didn't consent to — what you do in the next 24 hours matters. Capture the evidence, get to a safe space, and report through the platform. Shoot's trust team reviews every report and takes action against confirmed bad actors.

What to look for

  • Coercion to do anything outside the agreed shoot brief
  • Pressure to drink alcohol or use substances on set
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Withholding agreed payment after delivery
  • Threats or intimidation to discourage you from reporting

What to do

  1. Get to a safe location. Call a trusted person.
  2. Screenshot every message thread, contract, and payment record.
  3. If physical safety was at risk, report to police and seek medical attention.
  4. Open a report on Shoot — Profile → Report. Provide all evidence.
  5. If money is owed: open a Dispute on the booking from the booking detail page.
